THE CRAVING....

Hello..........

Today i would like to talk about craving of food. Lately i'm craving on meat and pastry and chips. I remember when i'm was pregnant, with my first pregnancy, i'm craving on eating Logan but it's not the season on that time. This thing make me feel crazy because i do and dying want to eat logan. On my second pregnancy, i'm craving on strawberry but in my country Malaysia, we don't have that fruit and if we have the price will be so expensive. On my third pregnancy, i'm craving on mango but again it's not the season on that time and this make me feel angry because i cannot fulfill of my craving of the food that i want to eat.

I also remembered on my pregnancy i really don't want to eat meat mean any kind of meat. When i went to pasar malam when i saw hawker who sell their chicken wings, the aroma of their chicken make me feel very angry and at that point i want to go to their stall then throw all their chicken simply because i don't like the aroma of their chicken. But luckily i did not doing it hahahaha if i have done it surely i will become a famous person at my hometown hehehehe. THE PREGNANT LADY WHO DISLIKE THE AROMA OF CHICKEN WINGS. On my pregnancy i dislike eating meat and i don't eat meat till i give birth to my baby. I just don't know why i don't like to eat meat on that time. I only eat some veges and more fish. 

When i'm thinking about that, i feel silly, because of small matter i become a sensitive person, moody and irrational person just because i don't like meat. But now, being a vegetarian i don't quite thinking about eating meat only sometime i do craving on it but i manage to get other solution to break my craving on meat.

How do i break my craving on meat. I look for any veges that i think it will have same taste with meat that i can substitute it. Usually when i'm craving on meat, i will cook some  mushroom or brinjal/aubergine because these veges do have quite similar taste like meat. I just cooked it like i cooked meat which i do add some seasoning like oregano, thyme and rosemary just to get the smell of the spices that can make the taste of the veges even more delicious.  And believe me i'm the only one who ate the whole meal without sharing it with my husband hehehe....and ya it's really full up my stomach. 

For the desert, i'm usually change the recipe of the dessert because most of the desert do contain lots of animal product such as butter, milk, eggs etc...most of my desert i substitute the sugar with dates or raisin because i also want to cut of using sugar and salt in my meal. One of my desert  that  i always make if i'm really craving on desert is avocado and date. the taste of it so delicious and sometime i ate it twice. 

The whole point here is if we desire or craving things that we cannot have it, we can get other solution to solve the craving that we had. Try to be creative and try to do new things because sometime the new things that we done came with the best result than the one that we want it badly.

KEEP TRYING AND TRYING UNTIL YOU CAN GET THE BEST RESULT.......

IT IS YOUR DECISION......

Today i would like to share my experience since i decided to becoming a vegetarian here at my hometown Ranau, SABAH MALAYSIA. As you all know, MALAYSIA  is a place that have lots of fresh veges and fruits specially at my hometown RANAU YIHAAAAAA...
BUT..... if someone decided want to be a VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN here in Ranau, people simply don't know what does these words means. To them, mostly of them  do not really accepted these diet in their life. They think that this kind of eating style is not really appropriate thing that you can apply in their daily life because most of people here are farmers so they need PROTEIN in their meal that can full fill their stomach and give them more energy that they can used while doing their farming work.

Me myself is a teacher, government employee so i'm not really a person who like to do the farming works because this kind of job really need your energy a lots. This job also need you to stay outside under the sweltering sun makes me think that i don't want to do it because this job is too heavy for me. It's a big NO...NO...NO... for me.

But because of this reason i think people here not really accepted the concept of VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN in their eating style. But for me why do i really like the idea of these eating style simply because, this diet really can help to improve your health and also it the best way to reduce weight in a natural way even though it will take some time to reduce your weight but it still the best and safe way to reduce weight in natural way.

If you ask Ranauhan people about vegetarian, i bet that most of them just look at you with their big eyes thinking that the person who is standing in front of them  is not quite right. For them, how can a person only eat veges and fruits  able to  to do their daily works. For them you have to eat veges and protein such as meat and fish so you will have enough energy to do your works. 

I'm not saying that all Ranauhan people think that being a vegetarian or vegan are a weirdo person but some of them knows the concept and not really skeptical about the diet but their knowledge about these diet are very little so most of them only know the basic of the concept of being a vegetarian or vegan because i'm also one of that person before this but these group will not refuse for those people who is a vegetarian. 

For a vegetarian people like me, if you go to the restaurant and order some food then you asking them  do they have a vegetarian menu, they will just look at you for a while then say NO. It also happen a lots to me  so what i did is, i asked them if i want to eat noodle soup i ask them only to put the veges and tofu but no meat or fish or prawns in my bowl. The reaction that i got from them is, they looked at me thinking that the food that i request is weird because there is no meat or any protein food. For me i don't care about their reaction all i want is a vegetarian dish and able to sit together with my family and eat together with them.

It also happen when i'm attending any occasion at my place, example in a wedding occasion, when i going to the food table, usually i only took the rice and veges and if there are tofu then i will took it. Then when i go to my seat and meet my friend, they looked at my plate and surprised to see my plate that i'm only eating veges and tofu. Then they asked me a big question, AM I REALLY SATISFIED WITH MY MEAL  BECAUSE I ONLY ATE VEGES AND TOFU????? i just looked at them and say BOLE BAH KALAU KO HAHAHAHA (can bah if you (direct translation from malay to english). For me i don't care about what they thinking about my eating habit. It was my decision. You a free to do things that you want because your body is yours so there is no need to get permission from others to tell you that the things that you done to your body is not right. But of course if you taking drugs or not eating well for the sake that you don't want to be fat i mean ANOREXIA or you want to be a heavy alcohol drinker or smoker then that kinds of habits is not the right habits that you can apply in your life. 

Just think which one of the good habits that is good for you to apply to your life. I'm not saying that if you are not a vegetarian or vegan is bad person because some people need protein for their body so they need to eat meat or any protein food. The point here is, it's depend on you. What you want to do to your body. For me the reason why i want to be a vegetarian because of my health. I want to be health and try to skip the junk food, soda and sweet things because these kind of food make me fat. I want to live  longer and be able to be with my children till they finish their school, working, get married and have children and that is the main reason why i want to be a vegetarian and sooner a vegan in my life.

JUST DO THINGS THAT YOU THINK IT IS  GOOD FOR YOU TO APPLY IN YOUR LIFE BECAUSE NO ONE SHOULD CONTROL YOUR LIFE AND TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO TO YOUR LIFE.

THE DECISION IS YOURS.........

Hello....

To be a vegetarian is hard but it's harder if you decided to be a vegan in my country. Most people at my hometown don't know what exactly the meaning of vegetarian and vegan. Right now i'm still a vegetarian, but maybe in a couple of years i want to be a vegan but i don't want to upset my stomach first.

Before this my knowledge of vegetarian is very little and for me at that time, i don't like to eat veges a lot but i like fruits a lot. The reason why i want to be a vegetarian because of my HEALTH and i am also an animal lover but i not really pushing people to change their eating habit from being a meat eater to become a vegetarian. it's depend on what they want to eat because some people are not suitable to eat only veges simply because of their healthy so no judgement made from me about those who like to eats protein a lots. Everyone has their own opinion about their eating habit. Just choose which one that you like.

My healthy become a problem for me lately. Before i decided that i want to be a vegetarian, my fingers sometime i feel numb and i have a problem with my weight that made my  joining at my knees feel hurt when i'm doing some extra work at my home. Sometime i do have constipation that make me feel uncomfortable  with my stomach. I rarely eat veges because i like to eat chicken, fish, eggs and pig but i'm not really like to eat beef, deer or any animal other than chicken and pig.

When i decided that i want to be a vegetarian, i make sure that i have done fully research about this eating lifestyle just to make sure that i will not failed again like i did before in order to achieve my goal of becoming a vegetarian. I look on youtube the recipe on what i eat in a day just to get some inspiration on the meal that i want to eat. I admit before this i buy substitute meat to replace the meat that i usually eat because i still eat lots of it but i only eat little veges that i think right now it is not a correct way of eating of becoming a vegetarian. The meat substitute for me it's does contain lots of sodium and sugar which is now i'm avoiding it from my diet. If you want to be a vegetarian,in my opinion, its not a good idea to get the meat substitute that you can get from the grocery but you must eats lots of veges, fruits and drink lots of water because these things will help to balance the nutrition that you can get for your body.

I do hope so that i will be a vegetarian and sooner a vegan for the rest of my life because right now i'm really happy with my eating style because being a vegetarian really help me to focus more, my health become more improve and i can save my money from buying stuff that is not good for my family.

CHOOSE WHICH ONE IS GOOD FOR YOU, NO NEED TO FOLLOW WHAT OTHERS TOLD YOU WHICH ONE IS GOOD BUT IT IS YOU CAN DECIDED WHAT IS THE BEST THING THAT YOU CAN GIVE TO YOUR OWN LIFE.

EXPERIMENT..........

Heloo....and Goooood morning.

It been a looong time i haven't write anything in my journal. Very busy with my school activities lately such as  school camping, meeting, courses, etc.....etc..... actually i have no idea what i want to write in my journal because i'm feeling dizzy with my never ending works, but i will try to write at least a paragraph about why i  becoming vegetarian sooner vegan lifestyle.

I like doing experiment means i like to test something that i can get the result which it maybe can satisfied with  my experiment that i have done. I've been vegetarian for almost 3 months and one day i wonder  what will happen to my body if i try to eat MEAT. Then on my school camping, one of my colleague is cooking chicken curry. I like chicken curry and when i smell the aroma of the curry, it drive me nut. So i decided that i want to give it a try and eat meat just to know what does this meat can do to my body.

When i ate the chicken curry, first thing that i feel is, when the meat get inside to my mouth it's feel strange, chewy, heavy taste, greasy, oily  and  ya.... I DON'T LIKE THE TASTE OF IT. After i ate, i feel that i want to throw up, i did not even finish eating the portion of the chicken curry that i had in my plate. At home i feel sleepy, lazy and not feeling active. All i want to do is sleeping. 

I do regret eating the meat because i don't like the taste that it goes into my mouth. My body also feel strange like suddenly i became lazy, sleepy and not willing to do some physical activity (my chores)  at my home. This is what i don't want it to be.

Because of this, being a vegetarian is the best option that i have ever made because i tried to became a vegetarian for one year but fail because i do not know how to variety my meal from veges. Thanks to YOUTUBE because i can watch lots of video on what i ate in a day as vegan. Lots of food recipe that they have shared from their video make me feel that i can do it and  when i saw veges at the market , it make my saliva came out from my mouth hahahaha which i like it a lots.

Being a vegetarian is the best thing i ever decide to be in my life.
